Every
Synod in the ELCA has a sister Synod in the worldwide Lutheran
church. Ours is the Lutheran Church of the Central African
Republic. In 2006, they asked for help in building a Guest
House and Headquarters for their church. First Lutheran
responded last year with a gift of $15,000, and this year with
an additional gift of $5,000. With the strong support of
First Lutheran and other churches in our Synod, the Guest
House and Headquarters were completed this year. It was the
only construction project in the entire country, a powerful
witness to the hope that comes from faith in Jesus Christ.
