ACCION Ministries, Merida, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
Accion Ministries is directed by Rev. Oscar Dorantes, a Presbyterian minister. Rev. Dorantes coordinates mission efforts through out the year between villages in the Yucatan Peninsula and mission groups from the United States. GMC donated $2300 and FLC donated $1000 in Jan. 2001 to help fund the building of a new dormitory at Mayan School that offers on-site, residential education and skills training to local village children ages 8-15 during the week.
You can see in the photo above, Oscar showing Pastor Craig and
Cindy the outer walls being constructed. The second installment was sent Jan. 2002. The aim is for a $10,000 commitment over 3 years by GMC and
FLC.
