Our Vision
Growing out of our mission statement is our vision statement. A vision statement helps us put into action the different aspects of our mission statement.

Our Vision Statement
To inspire through welcome and worship.
To equip through teaching and training.
To reach through serving and sending.

In general, the vision statement for First Lutheran Church is an
extension of our mission statement.  It provides more specific information about who we are and where we are headed.  The vision statement communicates common goals for the staff and member disciples of this congregation.  It is a tool that will help to establish
methods to evaluate our progress in working towards those goals.
Vision statements are key components of all growing churches that will
help us now and in the future.

The three key words, which will be used together, are Inspire, Equip, and Reach:

•    Inspire represents the emphasis of the Holy Spirit in all we do.  We see our church as welcoming and providing outstanding worship opportunities.  We want to use these gifts to invite others in and feed them spiritually in these ways.

•    Equip represents the Bible studies, workshops, Sunday School, Confirmation, trips, and any other educational opportunities that we provide.  We see these as important parts of building a discipleship – a group of followers of Christ who will go out and use what they have learned.

•    Reach represents that “going out” process of serving others and sending people out in mission.  It is the place where the inspiration and equipping comes together in Christ’s name.
FLC Mission Statement: Our mission at First Lutheran Church is to bring people
into a relationship with Jesus Christ, and to help them grow in the Christian Faith.
