Mission
The mission of First Lutheran’s Children’s Ministry Program is to bring children and their families into a relationship with Jesus and to help them grow in their Christian faith.

Volunteer Ministry Title:
Grade School Coordinator (Grades 1-6)


Position Purpose
To support teachers on assigned Sunday’s or Wednesday’s during Sunday school year. To meet their needs so they have an easier job meeting the needs of the children. To encourage and lift up teachers.

Ministry Description
1. To be available to the teachers on Sunday morning for any needs they may have.
2. To send periodic cards of encouragement to teachers
3. To report any problems or concerns the Director of Children’s Ministry
4. To communicate to the Director of Children’s Ministry any subjects that are needed for future teacher training based on observed needs
5. To be participate in teacher training sessions at least 2x a year
6. Alert Director of Children’s Ministry of any recruitment needed

Timeframe:
The commitment is for one year.

Skills to Be Used/Developed
 To have a servant’s heart for teachers
 To pray for the teachers each week
 To continue growing in your own faith by attending church, bible study, teacher training workshops and other spiritual growth classes

Training/Resources
Local seminars and conferences as well as a one year subscription to “Children’s Magazine”
