Mission
The mission of First Lutheran’s Children’s Ministry Program is to bring children and their families into a relationship with Jesus and to help them grow in their Christian faith.

Volunteer Ministry Title:
Resource Room Coordinator

Position Purpose
Our church is blessed with many excellent supplies and teaching aids. In order for these resources to be effective, they need to be kept in an orderly and accessible system. We can provide better Christian ministry for our children and be better stewards of our resources if we have materials properly organized and cataloged.

Ministry Description
1. Keep a written inventory of items stocked and available to any group.
2. Keep the Resource Room organized and clean.
3. Be available to help the Director of Children’s Ministry, Leader of Preschool Coordinator and Leader of Grade School Coordinator

Timeframe:
The commitment is for two years. One to two hours during the week will be devoted to maintaining the Resource Room. The volunteer will also be available 15 minutes before Sunday/Wednesday school to assist teachers in locating materials.

Skills to Be Used/Developed
Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability work/serve adults

Training/Resources
Books are available on putting together a Resource Center

Benefit to the Volunteer
You will help the entire teaching staff by maintaining teaching materials. You will have the opportunity to meet and work with other adults in the church.
