Got No Milk Program
First Lutheran Church Foundation offered a challenge to the congregation. The Foundation would match every dollar, up to $5,000, that is donated towards the "GOT NO MILK" promotion for the Fargo Elementary School Children.
Nearly 30% of the elementary school children are eligible to receive free or reduced-cost meals due to their family's income. While there is funding to help families with meals, there is no federal or state assistance for the morning milk break. Prior to the GOT NO MILK program, hundreds of kids had to watch as their classmates got their morning milk.
For the past four years the FLC Foundation board has created this opportunity for us to be able to see that ALL of the elementary school students receive their milk.
