Got No Milk Program
On September 20, the First Lutheran Church Foundation will again offer a challenge to the congregation. The Foundation will match every dollar, up to $5,000, that is donated towards the "GOT NO MILK" promotion for the Fargo Elementary School Children.
Nearly 30% of the elementary school children are eligible to receive free or reduced-cost meals due to their family's income. While there is funding to help families with meals, there is no federal or state assistance for the morning milk break. Prior to the GOT NO MILK program, hundreds of kids had to watch as their classmates got their morning milk.
For the past three years FLC Foundation board has created this opportunity for us to be able to see that ALL of the elementary school students receive their milk.
On Sunday, September 20, Foundation board members will be at all of the doors with their collection milk cartons to collect any donations that you would like to make.
Checks should be clearly marked "GOT NO MILK" and made out to FPS Foundation or to First LUtheran Church "Got No Milk". One hundred percent of tax deducible donations will be used to purchase milk.
