Children's Ministry Internship
Gain hands-on experience observing and practicing ministry skills with the FaithTalk age group (birth through age 12). This internship includes learning how to develop new volunteers: screening, recruiting, interviewing, training and developing quality leaders. You'll work with the full-time staff overseeing, implementing, and creating age-appropriate interactive activities, crafts, and programs that help to reinforce the curriculum provided by Christian Education Director. You'll also help prepare the age-appropriate classrooms for weekend and Wednesday night services as well as special events for children/families. Responsibilities also may include: shadowing staff and volunteer coaches, leading children's classes, assisting in writing curriculum, observing baptism classes, learning how the staff recruits, equips and encourages volunteers; and some interaction with parents.

  • Recruit volunteers and participants
  • Attend on week-long trip during the year
  • Attend three retreats during the year
  • Work 4pm-8pm on Wednesday; Supper will be provided
  • Mandatory 4pm meetings on Wednesdays with cadre and mentors
  • Work Sundays, 8am-Noon
  • Week-long training in the Fall to develop program Director or Preschool Director

 


 

College Ministry Internship
A College Ministry internship is designed for current college students who are seeking hands-on ministry experience with First Lutheran’s Student Ministries Team. They'll assist in facilitating life groups and running college-age gatherings and worship after-events to build community, help with social media and promoting events, help mobilize college students by helping them plug into serving opportunities, assist in discipleship events and retreats, and contribute to the planning, programming, and facilitating of our college ministry. Most importantly, they'll build relationships with students who are seeking to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

High School Ministry Internship
Training and coaching will make for a season of ministry experience you will value for your entire career as an intern with L3 Internship Project. Our goal is that you look back on your time in L3 Internship Project with fond memories where you learned the basics of ministry, understood a youth ministry philosophy and learned how to work effectively with a team. L3 Internship Project interns will shadow, co-lead, and help run events and programs, as well as actively coach, mentor, and get volunteers on-board.

Junior High Ministry Internship
Interning with L3 Internship Project “LifeTalk” will give you a taste of everything First Lutheran does in our Junior High Ministry, from helping plan events like Summer Camp to running weekly Bible studies. L3 Internship Project “LifeTalk” will fully expose you to every aspect of youth ministry at First Lutheran. In addition to events, you will be involved with helping run weekend services, learn how to work on a team in a big church, mentor students as you challenge them in their spiritual growth, lead a small group of junior higher’s each week, and get one-on-one training on how to be the best youth worker possible.
