Woman's Ministries

Purpose Statement of the Women of the ELCA
As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world

The Women of First Lutheran Church (ELCW) share their time and talents to achieve their many goals.  They have monthly meetings, including Bible studies, informative programs and fellowship.  They host a Mother-Daughter Brunch in April, which is catered and served by the men of First Lutheran.  They celebrate Syttende Mai in May.  Through their fund raising efforts, they donated over $20,000 to various agencies and organizations.
