Military Addresses Needed
The children are preparing gifts and notes to send to military personnel overseas. We need YOUR help! Please send us the names and mailing addresses of overseas military member(s) in your family. Contact Shirley Tietz, Small Group & Youth Coordinator at 701-235-7389 or stietz@flcfargo.org.

 

First Grade: Worship CD. January 29, 2012. All first graders will receive a CD with FLC worship music. It is our way of putting Christian music in the hands and hearts of our little ones.

Second Grade: The Ten Commandments. Date tbd. In Deuteronomy, God instructs parents to impress the commandments upon their children (6:6-8) Second graders will learn them and lead the congregation in reciting them.

Third Grade: Bible Event. On Wednesday, September 28 parents fulfilled their promise to put Scripture in the hands of their child. Bible instruction were provided for the kids and parents.

 

Fourth Grade: Guardian Angel Ministry. On Wednesday, October 5, our fourth graders became part of the Guardian Angel Ministry, an opportunity to take a baby or young child “under their wing,” pray for that child’s spiritual growth and remember him or her on their on their baptismal birthday. The Guardian Angel is present during the baptism and presents the newly baptized child’s parents a baptismal candle.

 

Fifth Grade: First Communion. Maundy Thursday, April 8. “Do this in remembrance of me…” To prepare for this event, kids and parents meet on the Saturday before Maundy Thursday for instruction, making break for their first communion, and creating a keepsake craft. Then families participate in a Seder Meal before celebrating First Communion.
