Head to the Heart
This year we are excited to be using the Head to the Heart (H2H) program developed by Faith Inkubators! We will be including portions of the H2H program into our already existing program format.

What is Faith Inkubators?
Faith Inkubators creates resources for systems that incubate faith! They combine the latest in brain research, systems thinking, and Bible camp practices, an education teaching philosophy and aim it all at helping our children learn and grow in their faith!

The vision of Faith Inkubators is "to spearhead" a Christian education reform that restores parents as the primary faith teachers, mentors and role models for their own children with church serving to reinforce - not replace - the parent's duties.

Students entering 6-8 grades:
Head to the Heart Journals are an exciting new addition to our Confirmation program! We are excited to offer this resource to each student; it will be used each week during small group time and can be used at home with the family!
We are asking that each student pay for the Confirmation program events (Homeless and Hungry and fall mini-retreat) in advance. This will result in a one-time payment for all required Confirmation events!
$31.95 (H2H journal for use in classroom and at home)
$25.00 (Homeless and Hungry participation fee)
$15.00 (Fall mini-retreat fee)
$71.95 Total

Only pay $65 for all three! Camperships for events and journals are always available. Please contact Jill Sundheim, Middle School Program Director with any questions about payments.

9th Grade Students:

$25.00 (Homeless and Hungry participation fee)
$15.00 (Fall mini-retreat fee)
$40.00 Total
Pay $35 for both!
We are asking that each student pay for the Confirmation program (Homeless and Hungry and fall mini-retreat) in advance. This will result in a one-time payment for all required fall Confirmation events (9th grade spring retreat will be a separate fee).
Camperships for events are always available! Please contact Jill Sundheim, Middle School Program Director with any questions about payments.

The Ten Foundations of FINKthink

1.    Jesus Christ is the only Son of the LIving God.

2.    The Bible is the only textbook you need for Christian education.

3.    A living, loving Christianrole model in the home is by far the best delivery system for passing on the Christian faith.

4.    Christian parents are charged with the honor and responsibility to raise their children to know Jesus. The church should help them, but not do the job for them.

5.    The family is a church and must be inspired, challenged, and trained to model all the functions of the church in the home.

6.    Everything you do in chuch on sunday should go home in bite-sized chunks Monday through Saturday to continue and deepen the discussion between parents and children.

7.    You have to open the kid before you open the book. - Rich Melheim

8.    Good teaching is one-fourth preparation and three-fourths theater. - Gail Godwin

9.    It's a sin to bore a child with the Gospel. - Jim Payburn

10.  The passing on of faith to the next generation is much too important a task to be left in the hands of those who are paid to do it. - April Ulrich Larsen
