What: Tubing down the Ottertail River and Pizza at Zorbaz
Where: Detroit Lakes, MN

Spend a lazy afternoon floating down the Ottertail River with
friends! We’ll pack a cooler full of pop, water, and snacks, tie
our tubes together, and spend an amazing afternoon together in
God’s great outdoors! After tubing we’ll head over Zorbaz in DL
for some awesome pizza!

Stretching
Souls
Stretching Souls is an incredible experience for all youth that
are incoming or outgoing 4-6th graders and their friends! Join
others for community service projects in the morning and fun
fellowship activities in the afternoon! It’s a great chance to
meet new friends, service the community and have A TON OF FUN in
the name of Christ.
The total cost for the four weeks is $40. This fee covers the
complete participation of youth in the Stretching Souls Program.
Camperships are available upon request.
We will meet each Wednesday in July, beginning July 9th. Below
is a schedule for the service sites and fellowship activites:
July 9th - Trollwood Performing Arts School; Island Park

July 16th - Riding on Angels’ Wings; Thunder Road Fun

July 23rd - Eventide Senior Living Community; Movie

Sonshine Music Festival

Hey High Schoolers! You DO NOT want to miss this awesome
opportunity to join us for the Sonshine Music Festival - it's
like We Fest for Christians. We'll hear awesome bands (like
Third Day, Jeremy Camp, Newsboys, the David Crowder Band,
Kutless, Stellar Kart, Superchi(k), Barlowgirl, Jars of Clay,
TobyMac, Skillet, Flyleaf, and MANY more) and have a blast with
Christians from all over the US.
As a group, we will camp within walking distance to concerts
that last ALL DAY - from morning to night, we can experience all
the worshipping, fellowship, and outstanding music one could
ever ask for! You'll need to bring some money for a couple
meals, but we will do a lot of grilling and will also bring lots
of other food for our group.

Canoeing The Upper
Missouri River
In the footsteps of Lewis and Clark July 18-25
Come get connected to the Creator, His Creation and others on
this fantastic 6 day canoe trip in our 26' voyageur north
canoes. Travel down 60 miles of some of Montana's most gorgeous
country! Quiet times with God sitting on 600' cliffs overlooking
the Missouri river, camp in actual campsites used by Lewis and
Clark, gentle conversations around the fire connecting to
others, catching rays while paddling on hot sunny days,
exploring the bluffs and coulees of wild and scenic river,
swimming and maybe even a mud fight! This can be a fantastic
trip to reconnect with your inner true self, long lost in the
hectic, crazy world of work and school.

INSPIRATION POINT

Summer Bible Camp is an amazing outdoor ministry that provides
youth with the opportunity to be renewed in the Holy Spirit
through education, adventure, service, prayer and fun! Youth
will experience God’s Word through fun, interactive outdoor
programs in the beautiful setting that God provides. Invite a
friend and have a blast as we “Play Ball” at Inspiration Point.
This year’s Summer Staff at the Point invites us to “step
on-deck, choke up on the bat, take a practice swing, and get
ready for the game of a lifetime as we ‘Play Ball’ this summer
and learn more about the One whose grace will bring us home!”
All youth who have completed grades 4-6 are invited to attend
Inspiration Point Bible Camp for an amazing week! Inspiration
Point is located in Clitherall, MN (between Fergus Falls and
Alexandria).
Entering Grade 5 & 6: Week of August 10-15 ($260;
camperships available upon request)
Entering Grade 7: Week of August 3-8 ($280; camperships
available upon request)

TRANSPORTATION:
Parents or guardians are responsible for their own
transportation to and from the camp. If you are unable to bring
your children please let me know so I can make transportation
arrangements for you. We will all meet at First Lutheran to
drive together (we will make carpool arrangements this day) on:

Sunday, August 10th at 1:00pm, 5/6th Grade
We will also meet to drive together to pick-up your children and
attend the closing program. Parents/Guardians can meet at First

CHRIST HIKE:
The Christ Hike is a very powerful play put on by the camp
counselors every Wednesday and is open to the public. I will be
attending this play both weeks, and I encourage you to join me!

Spills
Who: Students 6th-9th grade
What: A fun trip to the Twin Cities!
Where: We’ll be at Valleyfair, Underwater Adventure at
Mall of America, and a Minnesota Twins game!
When: August 11-13, 2008
Cost: $120 (camperships available)
Thrills ‘N Spills will be one of the most exciting activities
you will participate in the summer! We will get our ‘thrills’
shopping at the Mall of America, the MOA, Underwater Adventure
and the TWINS vs YANKEES baseball game and see some ‘spills’ at
Valleyfair! At night we will sleep-over at Roseville Lutheran
Church in Roseville, MN and participate in some awesome
activities and worship.

What: Mission work in Mpls (we'll be running a softball
tourney for the Special Olympics) during the day. At night we'll
head to the Higher Ground Music Festival to hear bands like
Casting Crowns, Big Daddy Weave, Sara Groves, & MercyMe!
Where: The Twin Cities - The softball tourney is in Maple
Grove, and the music festival is in Winsted, MN
