SUMMARY:Picnic Through Proverbs
DESCRIPTION:Picnic Through Proverbs\nSummer Sermon Series: May\, June\, & July \nLife’s not always a picnic\, but the wisdom of Proverbs can help. \nThis summer\, join us for Picnic Through Proverbs\, a journey through biblical wisdom that helps us navigate everyday life. Proverbs are observations about how life works. They are comparisons designed to make us pause and ponder\, inviting deeper reflection rather than offering quick\, easy answers. \nThe book of Proverbs shows us what it looks like to live out a faith that trusts God. Having trusted Him\, we are called to center our thoughts and actions on Him — to study\, to think\, to learn the practical disciplines of faithful living. These sayings are not quick bites of inspiration; they are words to be reflected on and meditated upon\, shaping the way we see and respond to the world. \nWisdom is not only for deep thinkers. It’s how we get through daily life. It guides our decisions\, our relationships\, and our reactions. Whether life feels calm or chaotic\, this series invites us to gather around Scripture\, reflect on God’s truth\, and grow in wisdom as we grow in the knowledge and image of Jesus\, who is Wisdom itself. \n“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him\, and he will make your paths straight” –Proverbs 3:5-6

SUMMARY:Restored
DESCRIPTION:Restored\nAugust Sermon Series\nCars\, God\, and the Christian Faith \nThey’re known as junkers or clunkers\, survivors\, rust buckets\, beaters\, or heaps – old cars that have seen better days. They may seem like hopeless causes\, destined for the junkyard. But in the hands of an expert auto restorer\, these cars can be made new. \nThe book of Ruth tells a similar story. Naomi and Ruth experienced devastating loss\, uncertain futures\, and circumstances that seemed beyond repair. Yet through God’s faithfulness\, what was broken was restored. During the month of August\, we’ll explore how that same truth applies to us. We may feel worn down\, broken\, or overlooked. We may see our flaws more clearly than our value. But God does not see us as junk. He sees who we are made to be and restores us from the inside out. God restores us so that we can live lives that reflect the purpose for which we were created. After all\, God is the expert at restoring people. He alone makes all things new! \n“Restore to me the joy of your salvation and sustain in me a willing spirit.” -Psalm 51:12
