This year’s presentation of The Seven Last Words of Christ by French composer Théodore Dubois features the Cathedral Choir, orchestra, and regional soloists David Ferreira, Anthony Rohr, and Darci Bultema, accompanied by organist Bill Tweten and conducted by Jane Linde Capistran.

Maundy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter, the day Jesus celebrated the Last Supper with his disciples. Jesus and his disciples had just shared the meal, and he was washing their feet when he said:
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." -John 13:34
Maundy Thursday reminds us to reflect on Jesus' sacrifice and his commandment for us to love and serve others in our lives.

It will be a special service as our 5th graders receive their First Communion and celebrate this faith milestone!

You're invited to the "The Seven Last Words of Christ", a Good Friday Service in First Lutheran's Sanctuary.
Good Friday is a day where we remember Jesus' sacrifice and love for all people has he died on the cross.
This service will have "7 words". Think of it as each "word" as its own mini service. With each word we will focus on a specific Bible verse, special music, and a short meditation by a pastor.
People are welcome to stay for the entire service from 12 - 3 p.m. or if individuals would like to drop in for just part of it, that is welcome too.
You're invited to join us on Friday, April 3 for Prayer Around the Cross.
This intimate and contemplative service on Good Friday as we think about Christ’s sacrifice for our sins.
There will be worship, prayer, a video, and lighting candles in the Great Hall.

We seek to Live, Love, and Lead Like Jesus and be God's hands and feet. We pack 200+ healthy/hearty bag lunches to be distributed to homeless shelter sites in the Fargo-Moorhead community on the second and fourth Fridays of each month.

Every fourth Monday, First Lutheran Church provides a warm goulash meal for the residents of Churches United's Micah's Mission shelter. We're looking for volunteers to help prepare the meal the Sunday before, from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the First Lutheran kitchen!
