At First Lutheran, we're here to make an impact: Attend one or both events to explore in depth the raw and real implications of being without a home. To register for either or both events, read on. Homelessness Immersion Event
April 20, 9 a.m., at FLC, various rooms

The IMMERSION EVENT includes watching the movie "Same Kind of Different As Me" and discussion with the rest of the group. During the event, you will learn about the types of life events that can result in homelessness as well as challenges faced by those who live without permanent shelter.

Homelessness Book Study: Workin' Our Way Home
Wednesdays, April 24 - May 8, 12 p.m.

The BOOK STUDY is a 3-week discussion on the book Workin' Our Way Home by Ron Hall, a sequel to Same Kinds of Different As Me. This sequel continues the story of a homeless ex-con and a grieving millionaire thrown together to save each other. Read and discuss how their journey in raising awareness about homelessness reveals God’s plan lived out.
