Wellness Wednesday, June 10
The Health Ministry Committee invites you to join us for “Your Passport to Health” Wellness Wednesday, June 10 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This event is being held in conjunction with “Crocodile Dock”, this year’s theme for Vacation Bible School. Come and learn while your children or grandchildren are participating in their sessions. It’s a great way to save gas (no return trip necessary) and catch the contagious joy of the children as they learn Bible truths and deepen their faith. Don’t have children or grandchildren? Come for YOUR health, and for a dose of contagious joy anyway! There will be healthy snacks and learning opportunities for all ages.
Mini lectures will cover topics such as Suicide Prevention, Men’s Health, Eating for Your Eyes, and Addiction and Recovery. The presentations will be held in the Adult Education Room or the Luther Room.
There will also be interactive displays in the Gathering Place, addressing many health-related topics like Grilling and Food Safety, Water Safety, Heart Health, Spiritual Health, Calcium and Osteoporosis, Recycling, Yoga, Community Gardens, Disaster Preparation for the Home, Holistic Healing Practices and Early Childhood Family Education.
